Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli

Both the stations have been there even before the birth of the respective cricketers.

In India cricket is a religion and the players are treated as Gods. There was a time when Sachin Tendulkar was regarded as the ultimate saviour who could win games from hopeless situations and now that mantle has swiftly passed on to Virat Kohli.

While Sachin has a stand named after him at his home ground - Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Kohli will surely get such an honour in future. But what is relatively unknown is the fact that both have railway stations in their names in different parts of India.

The 'Sachin' station is near Surat in Gujarat while the 'Kohli' station is situated close to Nagpur in Maharashtra. But what is more interesting is that both the stations have been there even before the birth of the respective cricketers. Who knew that someday these unknown stations would become famous courtesy the superstars of Indian cricket.
