South Africa's cricket team arrived in India on Saturday to play two tests and three one-day internationals against the host country.
The Proteas, who arrived at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai late on Saturday night, will take on India, the world's number one ranked test nation, after facing a tumultuous week back home, during which coach Mickey Arthur resigned due to differences with the South African cricket board and the selection committee was sacked and replaced by an interim one.
Former South African fast bowler Corrie van Zyl is the interim team coach.
South Africa will play a two-day warm-up match against an Indian Board President's XI in Nagpur from Tuesday. The first test begins in the same city on Feb. 6.
The second test will be played in Kolkata from February 14-18.
