Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara was fined 40% of his match fee for a slow over-rate in the drawn final test against England, the International Cricket Council said on Tuesday.
The rest of the Sri Lanka team were each fined 20% of their fees after they were ruled to be two overs short of the target amount at the end of the weather-affected contest in Southampton, England On Monday.
Sri Lanka accepted the penalty without contest.
