Bray became only the sixth player from a non-Test playing nation to register a hundred in the World Cup, joining Dave Houghton (Zimbabwe) and Andy Flower (Zimbabwe) Feiko Kloppenberg (the Netherlands.), Klaas Jan van Noortwijk (the Netherlands) and John Davison (Canada).

Bray (115 not out off 137 balls) became only the 12th batsman to carry his bat through an innings in the World Cup, joining Sunil Gavaskar (India), Glenn Turner (NZ), Geoff Marsh (Australia), Andy Flower (Zimbabwe), Ramiz Raja (Pakistan), Gary Kirsten (SA), Ridley Jacobs (WI), Neil Johnson (Zim.), Craig Wishart (Zim.), Ishwar Maraj (Canada) and Marvan Atapattu (Sri Lanka).

Bray got his maiden Man of the Match award.

Bray, with his second hundred, has aggregated 304 runs at an average of 50.66 in only 7 ODIs.

Bray's opening partner, William Porterfield got a 'blob' and provided the second instance in the World Cup when the openers registered a century and a duck in the same innings. Ramiz Raja (119*) and Aamir Sohail (0) for Pakistan against New Zealand at Christchurch on 18.3.1992 had provided the first instance.

The match provided the third instance of a 'tie' in the history of the World Cup - the previous two instances involved South Africa - South Africa (213) vs. Australia (213) at Edgbaston on 17.6.1999 and SA (268) vs. Sri Lanka (229) at Durban on 3.3.2003 (D/L method).

Vusi Sibanda posted his 8th fifty - 67 off 84 balls - his first in the World Cup.

Stuart Matsikenyeri - 73 not out off 76 balls - recorded his fifth fifty - his first in the World Cup.
