NEW DELHI: Curtains were drawn on Sunitha Rao's campaign at the USD 50,000 ITF women's event in Boston after the Indian was knocked out in the quarterfinals in straight sets.
Fifth seed US-based Rao, ranked 152, suffered a dejecting 2-6 3-6 lose to second seed Canadian Stephanie Dubois, placed 100 in the WTA charts.
Dubois will now lock horns against Chinese Taipei player Chin-Wei Chan, who dumped fourth seed Varvara Lepchenko of America 6-2 6-2 in her quarterfinal tie.
