The pathetic display of the Indian cricket team in the ongoing Test series against England is expected to dominate the discussions during the BCCI's Working Committee meeting here tomorrow.According to BCCI sources, the members, who normally would be busy taking up routine issues like the secretary's annual report and treasurer's balance-sheet ahead of the next month's AGM, would certainly indulge in discussions about the team's debacle in the ongoing series against England. The team has been brought down to the ground with a thud just over the four months after it won the World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium here for only the second time in the country's history for which each player got Rs two crore as cash incentive. The team has also lost its number one Test ranking following the defeat at Edgbaston, Birmingham, by an innings to concede a 0-3 lead to hosts England. The worst performance is being viewed in the background of the 1974 whitewash under Ajit Wadekar. The inconsequential last and final Test is due from August 18 at The Oval, scene of India's famous victory in 1971 under Wadekar. What was to be a normal Working Committee sitting is expected to become a heated one to take stock of the team's plunging fortunes so soon after climbing to the pinnacle, sources indicated. For a change, Dhoni and company's dismal display would take up quite a chunk of the meeting though administrative issues are also expected to garner a significant portion, they said.
