Gabe Tuft, who was known in the WWE by the name of Tyler Recks, has come out as a transgender now known as Gabbi Tuft.

For a brief time in WWE in 2010/11, Tyler Reks was making waves in the business. At Bragging Rights, Reks was able to eliminate Santino Marella before being eliminated by Sheamus. However, Team SmackDown was successful in winning the Bragging Rights Cup for the second consecutive time, which would end up being Reks' most significant accomplishment in the WWE. However, it was Tyler Recks' partnership with Curt Hawkings which transformed his persona. Reks has also competed in WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), where Reks held the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship once and the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship twice, once with Joe Hennig and once with Johnny Curtis. Since retiring from professional wrestling in 2014, Reks works in marketing and has also launched a fitness website with several other wrestlers.

According to a release by Newswire, it stated, "Despite successes during and after the WWE career, Gabbi was still wrestling with a secret persona dwelling deep within her. This is a persona she has been hiding in the loud silence of her soul since childhood. Finally, with the blessing of her loving wife Priscilla, Gabe is ready to reveal who she really is. Now known as she/her: A beautiful, wise, witty and wonderful woman."

Planned countdown

After the WWE stint ended, Reks walked away from the world of WWE to spend more time with wife Priscilla and daughter Mia. The family launched their own fitness company and app named "Body Spartan". However, recently, on Instagram, Tyler Reks, who is known as Gabe Tuft, came out and said that he was actually a transgender known as Gabbi Tuft. On the Instagram handle, Tuft said, "I am no longer afraid. Fear has been replaced with the highest vibrational state of gratitude. I am grateful for my past, for who I started this life as, for who I was, for who I am now, and for who I am becoming. Tomorrow, I close this book of my life and begin a new one. My hope is that the last nine days of this countdown have helped you reflect on things not of material nature...but rather on the non-physical aspects of life that create what we call the human experience. I hope along the way you have felt emotions that you have forgotten, felt the power of your heart energy, and have searched your soul for truths untold. Tomorrow the ace drops. Tomorrow I start a new book of life.

On social media, Gabbi Tuft has been sharing photos documenting the countdown to the announcement on February 5. On January 26, 10 days prior to the recent announcement, Gabbi posted a photo with a caption, "The next 10 days mark the beginning of the most monumental countdown of my life. Until now, and on a small number of occasions, I thought I fully understood my purpose in this human experience. I was wrong each of the previous times, just barely missing the mark with each occasion - and now I know why. As I’ve watched each chapter of my life build upon the next, it is clear that it is the cumulative sum of my experiences and knowledge that has led me to this precipice...to the final pages of this incredible opus."
