NAGPUR: The Australian cricket team management said on Friday the alleged incident of racial abuse during their fifth ODI against India in Vadodara is being looked into by the local authorities there.

"The matter is now in the hands of local cricket authorities in Vadodara," Philips Pope, the media manager of visiting Australian team, said on Friday.

He confirmed that the crowd made 'monkey noises' pointing towards Andrew Symonds during the ODI and the local media, spectators and Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) authorities are aware of the incident.

"I assume that they (BCA) are taking some initiative as we have moved out of Vadodara," he added.
