Former Chelsea star Demba Ba, playing for Shanghai Shenhua against Shanghai SPIG in the Chinese Super League suffered a horrific leg injury on Sunday.
The striker who moved to the Chinese club from Besiktas in 2015, collapsed to the ground in agony after slipping over in a challenge with Shanghai SIPG's Sun Xiang in the second half. Xiang accidently caught Ba's left leg and half of it was left dangling in the air.

Ba is at the top of the goal scoring charts of the league having netted 14 goals in 18 matches. Shanghai Shenhua won the match 2-1 after trailing by a goal, but their coach Gregorio Manzano was distraught as he felt that this injury can possibly end Ba's career.
