Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacts to Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli's cleaning efforts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Clean India' initiative was given a push by the Indian cricket team and BCCI president Anurag Thakur, when they together swept the premises of the Eden Gardens in Kolkata recently.

Indian captain Virat Kohli, though, has decided to take this good cause forward and make it a part of his daily routine. The ace batsman was seen picking up empty water bottles at the end of a practice session, during the on-going Test match against New Zealand at Indore, and dumping them in a trash can himself.

This act from captain fantastic earned him praise from none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who hailed him on Twitter for his 'powerful' gesture.

Kohli thanked Modi for his kind words and replied that he was trying to make a difference under the 'inspirational' leadership of the PM.
