Celebs took to Twitter to salute ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who announced his retirement on Sunday from one-day internationals (ODI), saying he will be missed on the field.
The champion batsman trended on the micro-blogging site which was flooded with tweets from fans and followers.
"Sachin retires from ODI's... Did he need to or did we make him... No one can replace him!! He is, was and probably will be the greatest sportsman india ever produced," tweeted Shahid Kapoor.
"Will miss Sachin Tendulkar in ODI's," said actress Bipasha Basu.
"The game cricket will lose its shine for a long time without Sachin. We will miss you in the field! God bless you Sachin! Have not seen a one-day player like Sachin. Doubt if one day will have the same charm without Sachin," Manoj Bajpayee posted.
"Sachin retires from the One Day Format.. We will however, continue to see him in whites... Mixed emotions," said Mandira Bedi.
