Sri Lanka lost the opening game against New Zealand by 98 runs and registered their first win with a four-wicket win over Afghanistan in Dunedin, and will play Bangladesh on Thursday in Melbourne.
Skipper Angelo Mathews said that Upul would be arriving tonight but Jeevan would be out for minimum two-three weeks, so he would be 'out and going back' after the game, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Mathews added that Upul would be in contention [for Bangladesh] but they would among the management and selectors decide if they want to play him or not.
