If you’re a hardcore WWE fan, with all its twists and turns, then the WWE Network service is something you’ve to check out. For the uninitiated WWE Network is a digital subscription service similar to Netflix which gives access to not only all the Pay Per View (PPV) events but a vast amount of content including vintage matches, original shows, reality shows, documentaries, legends discussing legends and the most wide-ranging video-on-demand library with almost 5000 hours of content including WWE, WCW® and ECW® pay-per-view.

How to sign up

Like Netflix, fans can sign up for WWE Network online from WWENetwork.com and can watch it on their desktops, mobiles or on their TV through connected devices including Sony PlayStation 3, Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Amazon Fire TV and more.

The Pros

For the die-hard fan, the huge library includes not only have matches from this era but also older matches from the 90s which is an absolute delight for those who miss the Attitude Era of Stone Cold, The Rock and Triple H. This means you can spend hours watching your favourite matches, including the classic clashes between your heroes of yesteryear.

Another huge plus point is the compatibility which allows you to access the service from virtually every device and the App Store, the Play Store and the Windows 10 app store. The quality of the videos, though the 90s ones are still in 720p is far better than any video you might come across on YouTube. The subscription price at Rs 650 per month, is perfect and isn’t heavy on the pocket. If you want to see if it’s worth it, you can always try out the free monthly service.

The Cons

The only major con for the average Indian user might be the amount of data consumption (a problem which Indian Netflix users also have). Another issue might be the poor design job which makes it hard for novice users to get used to the site. Finding the right content is like finding a needle in a haystack. You’ve to type in the exact search term to find a match.

The search function needs to be improved. For example, when one searches for ‘The Rock’ the results are chronological. A better way to search would be Rock VS Austin Wrestlemania or Rock at Wrestlemania 2000.

Verdict: If you’re an avid WWE fan or you miss the WWE era of days gone by and have a decent internet connection, this service at Rs 650 bucks was built for you.
