WWE SmackDown: Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan set for WrestleMania 35 after Big E, Woods win gauntlet match

Big E and Xavier Woods won a gauntlet match against five other tag teams to secure Kofi Kingston's Wrestlemania spot.

Kofi Kingston will take on WWE champion Daniel in a title match at WrestleMania 35. Kingston finally came true after his New Day team-mates Big E and Xavier Woods won a gauntlet match against five other tag teams.

Big E and Xavier Woods were given the challenge by WWE chairman Vince McMahon of making through the gauntlet match to secure Kingston's spot on the biggest show of the year.

Big E and Xavier Woods overcame the teams of  They made it through Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura and The Bar. 

After the loss, Sheamus and Cesaro put a beatdown on the New Day, with Big E being put through a table. It seemed like their dreams of putting Kofi in the title match was over as The Usos entered as the new team. However, Jimmy and Jey opted to forfeit the match out of respect to Kingston.

Bryan and Erick Rowan entered the gauntlet as the final team but Big E trapped Rowan under a commentary desk to secure a count-out victory.

Vince McMahon later confirmed that "Kofi Kingston is going to WrestleMania".
