WWE Wrestlemania 38 results: While the match between Seth Rollins and Codey Rhodes headlined action on day 1, here's what went down in other matches.

Day 1 of WWE's Wrestlemania completed lived up to its hype as WWE superstars such as Seth Rollins, Codey Rhodes, Steve Austin, and Rey Mysterio, all took part in their respective matches on Saturday to produce an epic night of entertainment. 

While Stone Cold Steve Austin made his much-anticipated return to the WWE, Codey Rhodes also stepped into the ring and fought Seth Rollins which was his first WWE match in 6 years. That, and plenty more happened on the first night itself, and much more action will follow on Day 2. 

Here's a brief look at the results of all the matches that took day place on day 1 of Wrestlemania 38:

Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch produced the best match of the night as the Raw Women's Championship was on the line. Bianca Belair defeated Lynch to end her reign as the Raw Women's champion, as she emerged victorious on Wrestlemania for a second year running. She won her maiden Raw Women's championship was displaying excellent grit and determination. Throughout the match, there were many moments wherein Becky Lynch nearly pulled away with a win, but Belair pinned Lynch to silence her critics and cause a big upset. 

Elsewhere, Codey Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins in his first WWE match for six years. Rollins and Rhodes both put up a great show with their acrobatic skills on show, and their contest lasted for a whole 21-minutes. Rollins struck Rhodes with a pedigree as well, but the latter somehow kicked out of the subsequent pinfall. Rhodes then stung Rollins with Cross Rhodes and used his father's finisher to end the contest. 

Much to the surprise of everyone, the Tag team match between The Miz and Logan Paul vs Rey and Dominic Mysterio ended in controversial circumstances. The Miz shocked everyone after attacking his own teammate Logan, hinting that this could be the start of a new storyline. This came after the pair defeated Rey and Dominic Mysterio to pull off another major upset. 

Jimmy and Jay Uso retained their tag team championship titles after beating the pair of Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs. It was the first match of Wrestlemania 38, and it set up a great tone for the things to come as Boogs suffered a knee injury during the match, which gave the Usos the perfect opportunity to pull away with the contest. They pinned Shinsuke Nakamura and will be expected to accompany Roman Reigns when he faced Brock Lesnar on Day 2. 

Former WWE champion Drew McIntyre defeated Happy Corbin to bring an end to their ongoing storyline. McIntyre came into the match as a heavy favourite and he lived up to the billing. He could challenge for one of the major titles soon.
