YOG 2018: Mizoram's Jeremy Lalrinnunga claims India's first gold medal at Youth Olympic Games

Bhaker shot into fame after her gold medal in the Commonwealth Games in Australia earlier this year. Bhaker couldn't ensure a podium finish in the Asian Games, but the coaches were always bullish about gold medal chances of her in the Youth Olympic Games.

Bhaker deservingly was given the honour of leading the Indian contingent as its flag-bearer as the opening ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games, in a first, was held on the streets with over two lakh people showing up. Now, Bhaker has paid back the confidence of her coaches by winning a gold.
