Serena Williams stunned Paris this year with her body-hugging outfit which according to her was inspired by the ‘Black Panther’ movie and made her feel like a ‘warrior princess.’

Serena Williams stunned Paris this year with her body-hugging outfit which according to her was inspired by the ‘Black Panther’ movie and made her feel like a ‘warrior princess.’

As she had earned major attraction for her outfit, she had also suggested that the black catsuit, which was specially designed by Nike for her, helped prevent the return of the blood clots which put her life in danger after giving birth last year.

However, on Saturday, the chief of French Open shocked the tennis fans and fraternity when he said Serena will no longer be allowed to wear the outfit at the Rolland Garros slamming the outfit as “going too far.”

"I really believe that sometimes we have gone too far," FFT president Bernard Giudicelli told Tennis Magazine in remarks reported by French media.

"The outfit of Serena this year, for example, will no longer be accepted. You have to respect the game and the place. Everyone wants to enjoy the showcase." Giudicelli said.

"For 2019, it's a little late because the collections are already designed, but we will still ask the equipment manufacturers to communicate them to us," he added.

Serena, nevertheless, has received support from several fans on social media for the same including the creator of the suit, Nike, who took to Twitter to lend their support for Serena on this controversy.

“You can take the superhero out of her costume, but you can never take away her superpowers. #justdoit,” Nike tweeted with a picture of Serena wearing the catsuit.
