Raza reviews progress of development works in Amethi

Uttar Pradesh Minority Affairs Minister Mohsin Raza, who is also incharge of Amethi, has asked the authorities to make the villages of the district open defecation free (ODF) by 2018.

Presiding the meeting of the review committee of the district, Raza reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects and directed the authorities to complete all the projects within the schedule time and without compromising with the quality, officials said today.

The minister asked the officials to record all the villages of the district as ODF (Open Defecation Free) till 2018.

He also directed the power department to ensure that electricity supply was maintained in the district as per the state government schedule, 24 hours for district headquarters and 18 hours in rural areas.

The minister showed his displeasure over mismanagement at the district hospital and directed the newly appointed chief medical officer (CMO) of Amethi Dr R M Sriwastava to take action, they said.

He also instructed the officials concerned to get the canals cleaned and make all the district roads pot holes free.

The review meeting was also attended by DM Yogesh Kumar, CDO Aparna Dubey, DDO OM Prakash and others, they added.
