Users of Google’s email service Gmail on Wednesday suffered an outage worldwide. Along with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs and other Google services were also facing an outage.

Hundreds of Gmail users took to social media to complain about the outage in the service, with #Gmail becoming the top trend on Twitter. Many users complained about not being able to send any attachments or documents while others said they're not able to log in at all. Some users also reported that they are facing connectivity issues while working on Google Meet.

Gmail confirmed the disruption in its status page at 10:59 AM today. It wrote, "We're investigating reports of an issue with Gmail. We will provide more information shortly."

This was the second time in two months that Gmail suffered such a massive outage. In July this year, Gmail services went down for hours for users in India.

Gmail is by far the most used email service and an outage affects millions of users.
