Grand Theft Auto V is one of the best open world, action-adventure video games available today. Krishna Bahirwani reviews the game on the best platform you can play it on

Rating: 9/10
Developer: Rockstar Games, Rockstar North, Rockstar London and more
Publisher: Rockstar Games
Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows

Graphics
The attention to graphical detail is one of the best I have seen in an open-world game and the game manages to perform smoothly without any visible hiccups. The day-night cycle, although becoming the norm now is unlike anything I have seen in a previous GTA. The superb graphics are visible in the smallest of details such as the rain, where you can see every rain drop. The beauty of the games graphics really becomes apparent to you when you're watching a sunset in-game and you are filled with appreciation for that beauty.
The PC version of the game allows you to experience this brilliant open world of Los Santos and Blaine County in resolutions of up to 4k at 60 frames per second while the consoles can only go as far as 1080p at 30 frames per second. The game's graphics are well optimized and give you the feel that a lot of effort has gone into making the game as gorgeous as it is.

Gameplay
While in the open world, you move about either on foot or in a vehicle interacting with the world's elements. The car control in this iteration of GTA is great and is a big upgrade on GTA IV. Besides the control, the sound of the car's engine is perfectly accurate in giving you the feel of driving a car.
The game has an amazing story and lots of side missions that you can pick up by just roaming around in the city.
The game is also filled with different activities, you can try - driving cars, mission making, robberies, flying, hunting, diving, piloting, submarines, boats, golf, tennis, playing cards, smoking weed, racing and even playing the stock market. This game packs enough that you could loose a significant chunk of your free time to this game and not regret it.

Story
Grand Theft Auto V allows the player to play from the perspective of the three main protagonists: Michael, a married man and a retired bank robber, suffering from a midlife crisis, Franklin, a young street hustler trying to create change for himself, and Trevor, a terrifying Canadian psychopath. The trio gets together to find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged of the mafia, government and the entertainment world.
For action fans, this game is an absolute treat as you will find yourself in the midst of chases, gang shoot outs, and intense heists that get insane as the game goes on. The game also allows you to do regular things while taking a break from the insane action-packed adventure this game is. You can garden, play sports and even indulge in a virtual strip club.

Online
You create the protagonist for GTA Online and you can customize the character to your preferences. After choosing a gender, you then choose the parents and grandparents of the character in-turn affecting his or her appearance. You then decide how much the character spends in his or her daily life, creating the initial stats for the character and slightly change the appearance.
After you have finished creating your character, you find yourself in Los Santos with an open welcome by Lamar Davis. He then has you do a street race with him and other new players, if present, and introduces you to Gerald, a drug runner who will give you easy jobs to start you off in Los Santos. After you complete this tutorial, you enter the open world with up to 32 other players who can become your friends or enemies. There are multiple game modes available to you in GTA Online, including:
Free Roam - Run around with up to 32 players, friends or enemies, creating absolute chaos, test your skill by competing in mini-games, such as shooting practice, arm wrestling, golf and tennis. Keep one thing in mind though, while in free roam you can be killed by other players. If this is something you want to stay away from you can also play in solo mode but you will not be able to do anything that requires more than one player to do.
Story Missions - These are given out by characters from the GTA storyline (Lamar, Gerald, Martin and others)and are co-op jobs where you can team up with up to four players.
Survival - Try your best to survive up to ten waves of enemies with up to a team of four players.
Player vs Player - There are multiple ways players can compete with each other including: Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, Vehicle Deathmatch, Team Elimination(You have only one life), Capture (A twist to Capture the Flag), Objective-based missions (Compete with another team to finish first), races, and parachuting.
Heists - Team up with up to three of your friends to perform challenging and rewarding missions to obtain monetary reward and exclusive heist vehicles. Unlike basic jobs, these heists involve multiple smaller tasks within them called Heist Setups that must be completed prior to the Heist Finale. As the heist leader, you hand out jobs to crew members and decide their pay for doing that job. Teamwork is essential because the entire team shares one extra life or none if the difficulty is above normal, and if you lose that life you must restart the entire mission.
It's not like GTA Online doesn't have it's share of bugs, but they don't get in the way of enjoying this amazing experience. So far I haven't seen any hackers but it's possible that they may surface.

Rockstar Editor
The Rockstar Editor, which allows you to capture, edit and share game footage from within Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online is currently available only on PC. That's not all, these things are something that you could do using a capture card or software. Rockstar has decided to take things to the next level with, The Rockstar Editor's Director Mode which allows you to stage your own scenes using characters from the story, pedestrians, and even animals to create absolutely anything you want.
The fun doesn't stop there, you have total control over everything with advanced camera manipulation, fast and slow motion and even camera filters, that are a part of everything nowadays. You can even add songs from GTA V radio stations to give the viewers of your videos an in-game feel. To make things really simple, videos can be uploaded directly from the Rockstar Editor to YouTube and the Rockstar Games Social Club.
Verdict
With so much to do and so many different ways to experience the game, it's clear why GTA V is one of the finest games you can play today. The only problem I had with the game was not a problem with the game itself but was the amount of time it would take to start up or load, but I guess I can say it's one of those things that was well worth the wait. Even after the story ends, I can see myself spending countless hours experiencing the game's different modes and joining up with my friends from all over to create all kinds of chaos and make memories using Rockstar's editor that could last forever.
