Microsoft's first CEO Bill Gates, reportedly explaining his new role at the company noted that latest chief Satya Nadella specifically asked him to help out with product decisions.
Nadella was named the new Microsoft CEO last week, while Gates stepped down as Chairman to assume an advisory role.
According to Tech Crunch, in his Reddit Q&A session, Gates said that he was excited about how the cloud and new devices could help people communicate and collaborate in new ways, adding that he was thrilled when Nadella asked him to pitch in to make sure Microsoft is ambitious with its innovation.
When Gates was asked jokingly as to what he would say he now does at Microsoft, he said that he makes sure they pick ambitious scenarios and that they have a strong architecture to deliver on them, adding that he encourages good work.
