WhatsApp, an instant messaging platform, is currently working on new reaction features on messages as the Facebook-owned app will roll out a new beta version of the platform, in which iOS users will be able to manage reaction notifications.
In the new message reaction features, users can manage their notifications, with new settings t disable them or change their tone, and choose whether they want to be alerted or not by the new reactions. The feature will work the same way users can manage their messages, groups notifications, media reports said on Saturday.
According to a report by WABetaInfro, while WhatsApp is working on this feature, message reaction is still not available for public beta testers to try it out.
The outlet has earlier reported that users can have an infinite amount of reactions to messages however, after 999 reactions, they will stop being counted and will appear as a "+" sign.
Apart from the message reaction feature, WhatsApp is also working on multi-device support 2.0 feature, in which an iPad app will be launch. The feature will also let users use the app on other secondary devices even when the primary device does not has an internet connection or is switched off.
Currently, public beta testers for WhatsApp's desktop app can avail this feature of a multi-device beta programme, in which users can use the messaging platform with the same number on up to four devices paired without the need of a smartphone connected to the internet.
