The Xiaomi Redmi 6A went on sale today in India. The device is available via Amazon India and Mi.com. While the 16GB storage variant is priced at Rs 5,999, the 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 6,999. Additionally, Reliance Jio customers will get 100GB of additional data along with a Rs 2200 cashback while purchasing the device.

While the 16GB storage variant is priced at Rs 5,999, the 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 6,999. Additionally, Reliance Jio customers will get 100GB of additional data along with a Rs 2200 cashback while purchasing the device.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi 6A features a 5.45-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 processor, paired with 2GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 16GB along with a microSD card for expandable storage.

Running Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI, the device comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS and a 3.5 headphone jack. A 3000mAh battery completes the package.

A few days ago, the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 went on sale in India. While the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999, the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at 12,999.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 features a 5.99-inch HD+ display that runs at a resolution of 1440×720 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC that is well known for its performance and battery life. It will be available in 3GB/4GB RAM variants. It will be available in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB storage variants.

In the photography department, the Redmi Y2 comes with dual camera setup at the back, which includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. Both the cameras work in tandem and allow you to add DSLR-like bokeh effects to your photos. For selfies and video calling, there is a 16-megapixel AI-powered front camera which comes with a dedicated portrait mode to add those bokeh effects to your selfies.

With connectivity options such as 4G LTE with VoLTE, dual-SIM card slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS, the smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo OS with MIUI 9 skin on top. It also includes iPhone X-like gesture control support, allowing you to disable the on-screen Android navigation buttons, and make the most of the full-screen display. To keep things ticking, the smartphone is armed with a 3,080mAh battery. In terms of security, the smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back, and face unlock feature too.
