Aamir Ali is gearing up for his web show titled Naxalbari. The series is a ZEE5 original and also stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Tinaa Dattaa in pivotal roles. Aamir, who is making his digital debut will be seen playing a hard-hitting, strong and powerful character on the show, one which he has not experimented with in quite some time now on the screen. Now during an Exclusive interaction with DNA, Aamir revealed how he trained to become the character Keswani.
Talking about Naxalbari, Aamir stated, "As I was portraying a character like Keshwani for the first time in my career, I wanted to do it differently and feel different. Before Naxalbari, I had never done workshops for any of the characters I played, a director friend of mine recommended that I prepare myself properly before entering the show, and it really did help a lot."
The actor further said, "I took online acting workshops with Sourabh Sachdeva in Goa, who is not just a great actor but a great teacher as well. He helped me a lot, and I am really grateful to him."

Aamir had also shared, "When I first read the script and grasped the storyline, the nuances of my character in Naxalbari intrigued me, and that's what immediately made me take up the show. I love playing roles that not only bring me creative satisfaction but are also intense, layered and ones with a lot of depth, and my character is exactly a mix of it all."
He added, "My role is highly intense, one which required a lot of preparation, workshops, understanding the plight of the situation my character is in through the course of the show which played an important part in bringing out the right kind of emotions, and so much more guidance and prep before and during the shoot which was overall a great learning process as well!"
Naxalbari is scheduled to stream on Zee5 from November 28, 2020.
