DNA Exclusive: Mohit Malik calls role in 'Lockdown Ki Lovestory' therapeutic

Mohit Malik who was last seen in Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala playing the role of Sikandar Singh Gill is gearing up for his upcoming show. Titled Lockdown Ki Love Story, on the show, the handsome actor will be seen as Dhruv Jaiswal. The show is set to be aired from August 31, 2020, and also stars Sana Sayyad as the female lead. Now during an exclusive interaction with DNA, Mohit shared on why he decided to take up Lockdown Ki Love Story.

The actor stated, "The description of my character in Lockdown Ki Lovestory was what made me say yes to the show. I am going to be portraying a very different role this time, also something I have never worked on before in my previous shows, and just the diversity of this role which has so much to offer was what drew me to it! Playing this character on Lockdown Ki Lovestory is going to be therapeutic for me through the show. My weaknesses are Dhruv's strengths, which I am really hoping to make my own whilst portraying the character."

Mohit also shared how the character has become a part of his personal journey. He added, "Playing the role of Dhruv is going to be an integral part of my personal journey as well as if I manage to even incorporate some of Dhruv's qualities that I like into myself, it's going to be a major achievement for me! I am aiming at this role to help me personally enhance myself and bring about a much needed positive and different shift that I am looking at, so it's surely going to be like therapy to portray this one."
