Zee Rishtey Awards: Ankita Lokhande shares glimpse from her tribute for Sushant Singh Rajput, grooves to 'Kaun Tujhe'

Another glimpse from Ankita Lokhande's performance on Zee Rishtey Awards is out. As a tribute to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his ex-girlfriend Ankita grooved to his superhit movie 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story's songs 'Kaun Tujhe' and 'Jab Tak'.

In the glimpse shared by Ankita, she grooved to 'Kaun Tujhe's music. The 'Pavitra Rishta' actress was seen in a white saree with background dancers themed in pink. While the boys wore a pink jacket over black formals, the girls were seen in a pink dress.

The actress then went on to dance to the tunes of 'Jab Tak'. In MS Dhoni, while 'Kaun Tujhe' featured Sushant's romance with debutante Disha Patani, 'Jab Tak' was about his chemistry with another debutante Kiara Advani. The movie was a biopic on cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni's life.

A video of Ankita from Zee Rishtey Awards went viral even previously. In the clip, she danced to 'Saathiya Tune Kya Kiya', which was Sushant and Ankita's song on the show.

She was, in fact, seen in the same attire as Maanav's Archana from 'Pavitra Rishta' while dancing with another man. The actress wore her classic yellow saree with red blouse from the show.

She gave Sushant a tribute at the recently held Zee Rishtey Awards. Ankita confirmed the rumours by sharing a rehearsal video from the dance. In that video, she was seen dancing to 'Taaron Ka Sheher'.

At the awards show, the actress had said, "Zee Rishtey Awards zaroor dekhiye kyunki iss baar kuch khaas hai jo aap sabke liye hai. Saare jitne bhi fans hai Sushant ke, unke liye hai. I know Sushant se bohot log pyaar karte hai. Bas aaj unke liye ek choti si koshish hai meri taraf se."

"Please isey dekhiye aur dher saara pyaar dijiye (Please watch Zee Rishtey Awards because there is something special lined up for everyone this time. It is for all of Sushant’s fans. I know people love Sushant a lot. This is a small tribute from me. Please watch it and give it lots of love)," she added.

Ankita had recently shared a video of her rehearsing for the performance. She was seen dancing to Neha Kakkar-Sunny Kaushal's hit track 'Taaron Ke Shehar'. Ankita can be seen perfecting her steps to give a fitting tribute to the 'Dil Bechara' actor.

She even recalled their Pavitra Rishta days when the two had given several performances together during award shows.

Ankita had constantly raised her voice to bring justice to actor Sushant Singh Rajput, before AIIMS declared that the actor died by suicide.

Sushant was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14 this year under mysterious circumstances. After fans pressed that his death should be inquired upon, CBI started conducting an investigation in the matter with the help of ED, NCB and AIIMS.
