A much-loved television star, Disha Vakani secured a place in the hearts of the audience after she essayed the role of Daya Ben in the hit sitcom 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' that has been entertaining the viewers for over 12 years.

In fact, in recent times, there have been several reports that suggested that she will be seen essaying her role once again upon which the show's producer Asit Modi had said in April this year that while he did understand the viewer's sentiments, amid the pandemic it would not be possible for Disha to make a comeback on the show.

The wedding ceremony was organised at a banquet hall in Mumbai and Disha chose to sport a Gujarati-style red coloured lehenga for her special day. She accessoried with heavy kundan jewellery. The groom was seen in a cream-coloured sherwani.

During an interaction with ETimes in April, the producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Asit Modi was asked if Disha will be returning as Daya in the show? To which he stated, "I understand that the audience has got tired of waiting for Daya bhabhi and they want to see her back and I can understand their sentiments. I can understand that the viewers want to see Daya Ben and even I want to see her again on the show."
