In case you missed it, here are five interesting highlights from the show's exciting trailer:

Amazon Prime Video was very particular about the time of the trailer release. Hours before the trailer launch, Anushka Sharma introduced viewers to the doors of Paatal Lok claiming that it would open sharp at 11:34 PM for a quick preview on her Instagram page. Turns out, the secret to the trailer releasing at 11:34 is that the number becomes "hell" once it turned upside down. As an easter egg offering, the door to hell opened when the clock struck 'Hell'!

Paatal Lok stars Neeraj Kabi (Talvar, Ship of Theseus) as a charismatic, well-known journalist Sanjeev Mehra, Jaideep Ahlawat (Gangs of Wasseypur) as Inspector Hathi Ram Chaudhary, and Abhishek Banerjee (Mirzapur, Stree) as serial killer Vishal 'Hathoda' Tyagi, Niharika Lyra Dutt (Pushpavalli, Die Trying) as Sara Matthews, Swastika Mukherjee (Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!) as Dolly, Ishwar Singh (Malaal) as Imran Ansari, Jagjeet Sandhu as Tope 'Chaaku' Singh, and Gul Panag (Dor) as Renu.

The trailer of the show highlights the nitty-gritty of what the show will be. It revolves around the conspiracy of a failed assassination arresting four criminals in custody. It is a noir mystery crime thriller following the investigations of Hathiram (police officer) as he uncovers the mystery story.

A must-watch crime thriller, the show poignantly illustrates the class inequality in India. It highlights the struggle of an honest policeman from Hathiram, aka Jaideep Ahlawat’s perspective. The man follows an honest road map through the investigation so that he can be a 'Forever HERO' in his son’s eyes.

Udta Punjab writer Sudip Sharma is the creator of Paatal Lok. Sudip also serves as an executive producer alongside Anushka and her brother Karnesh Sharma, who produce through their banner Clean Slate Filmz. Anushka-starrer Pari director Prosit Roy and Drishyam remake and Masaan cinematographer Avinash Arun helm the nine Paatal Lok episodes.
