'Bigg Boss 12' September 17 2018 written update: Anup Jalota-Jasleen Matharu, Deepak Thakur-Urvashi are targeted

Day one in the Bigg Boss 12 house begins with the contestants trying to settle down and pick their comfortable spots in the house. Deepak Thakur spends some time near the jacuzzi. He says this is the first time he got to know about it - that it's called a 'jacuzzi'. He calls his jodidaar, Urvashi Vani to show him the ajooba. He tells her that she would have seen water flowing out of taps but not light (pointing to the tap shaped light bulbs on the walls). He says he can't express in words what he's feeling. Urvashi says she still can't believe it all.

Anup Jalota tells Deepak and Urvashi that it was Jasleen's wish and that she wanted to come to Bigg Boss. He said that he'll join her too as he feels she'll benefit from his presence inside the house and make more friendhips.

Deepak Thakur explains that it'll also be the reason of enemity since it's a competition and all the contestants are here to win the show, while Urvashi remains a silent listener. 

Keeping up to the tradition, Bigg Boss pumped up the contestants next morning with the song ‘Chalti Hai Kya 9 se 12’ as the wake up song.The housemates show their dance moves on their wake up call in the garden area. 

Around 1 pm, Srishty requests Bigg Boss to make everyone sleep early at night. She says that she woke up the previous night when Urvashi called out Deepak's name loudly. She discusses who all snore in the middle of the night, causing them trouble in sleeping and points out that both Anup Jalota and Karanvir Bohra were snoring the previous night.

At the dinner table, Anup and Jasleen talk about their relationship with Saba Khan. Saba says that she finds their relationship very nice and intersting and hence wants to know more about them. 

Around 1:45 pm, Sourabh Patel, Deepak, Nehha Pendse and Dipika Kakar among others can be seen helping in the kitchen. A small talk about learning to how cook and the ration that is made available to them follows. With the contestants getting their first set of ‘Ration’, Dipika Kakkar and Sourabh Patel decided to take over the kitchen.

At 2:45 pm housemates were sitting at the dining area and were having a fun conversation. Deepak, Sreesanth and Sourabh remain the most active participants. Sourabh's remark leaves Deepak a little upset. 

Later Deepak can be seen talking to a framed photo of his parents. He says that all kinds of people are in the house, some make fun of him, and he doesn't understand their dual nature. He feels it's all like a dream. Jasleen Matharu comes to him and starts having a conversation. Deepak tells her that the other housemates don't want to indulge in a lot of talk with him. They wanted him to leave the dining area and were trying to make him leave the table while he was talking. Deepak feels that other housemates think that he doesn't 'fit in' with the rest of them.

Later, in the garden area beside the pool, Anup asks Deepak if he thinks the housemates will start fighting in a day or two. Jasleen says that she feels a few of them want to instigate fights, pointing out the conversation she had with Saba about her relationship with Anup Jalota, in the morning at the dining table.  Urvashi says as of now everyone is in the kitchen but when it'll come to making rotis everyday for everyone, nobody will stick to it. 

In the evening, Shivashish and Somi have a conversation about Somi's name and its meaning at the dining table. Meanwhile, Nirmal Singh and Romil Chaudhary are sitting on the bench along with Saba, Deepak and Urvashi. Deepak says that he gets confused between the names of Saba and Somi. 

Somi and Shivashish discuss the strategies of the other housemates and what they want to do on the show. Dipika and Nehha talk about distributing household work and responsibilites among the gharwale. Deepika says as of now, nobody seems like a troublemaker among the housemates to which Nehha says there's nothing worth creating trouble right now. 

Bigg Boss calls Dipika in the confession room and gives a letter about the first task of the season. The gharwale get collected in the living area. Dipika reads the letter and tells them that the task will have direct impact on the nomination process and the captaincy of the house.

The first task is BB Press Conference. The single contestants play challengers, and will have to challenge one of the jodis after Bigg Boss plays the gong. On hearing the gong, one of the single contestants will have to go inside the torture room (where shivashish was trapped on entering the house), press the buzzer and take the name of a jodi whom he/she'd like to challenge and prove weaker than himself/herself. 

Meanwhile, the rest of the housemates will play the role of mediapersons, quesionsing the single, as well as the jodi contestants. After the question and answer round, the housemates will have to vote and pick whom do they find weaker. The deciding factor will lie in the hands of the other housemates and the
sanchalak and their decision will effect this week’s nomination.

The gong is played after sometime and Srishty Rode goes inside the torture room. She takes the name of Jasleen and Anup Jalota's jodi and challenges them. Meanwhile, Jasleen and Anup are discussing what will they say in the task when being questioned by everyone and why they are stonger than Srishty. Meanwhile Deepak and Urvashi talk about how Srishty is a teekhi chhurri. Amidst all the madness, Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu’s Jodi has already become the bone of contention in the house.

At night, Bigg Boss introduces Hina Khan and Hiten Tejwani in the activity area, where the gharwale are gathered for the task. Srishty says she will perform physical tasks better than Anup and Jasleen. She adds that Anup appears to be a very nice person and won't be able to sustain the nasty fights. Anup says that he has good relations with everyone in the house which means Jasleen too has good relations since they are a jodi on the whole. 

Questions are raised on their physical stamina and abilities to perform physical tasks, considering the age factor of Anup. Further, their chemistry as a jodi is also questioned. Diika Kakar points out that Jasleen was reluctant to admit to her relationship in front of Deepika and Nehha earlier. Hina says it may be their strategy to survive in the show as well. 

Deepak says that Jasleen was trying to hide their affair, in case there is any. When Shivashish Mishra asks what are they actually - girlfriend-boyfriend, live-in partners or normal friends, Anup Jalota tells they are everything that he mentioned.

Hearing this he keeps his hand on Jasleen while Jasleen Matharu brings him closer and asks if this is the chemistry they are talking about. She even tells that this is not a dating show where they need to showcase their chemistry. She also got furious while answering the questions saying that it is their matter and no one has any right to comment on them. Jasleen defends her stance and says their relationship is not that of teens, it is beyond that. While Anup and Jasleen state that there are many relations other than being a couple, the curious housemates try to cross question them to find the truth behind their relation.

Karanvir says that he's confused. Sreesanth says they must make the wrongs right and accept their relationship. The time to vote comes and 8 housemates consider the jodi as weak, while 3 including Hina and Hiten vote the single - Srishty as weak contender. 

Dipika and Nehha discuss Anup and Jasleen's relationship dynamics. Jasleen and Anup talk about their relationship with Sreesanth. 

At 9:15 the gong goes again, Nehha Pendse goes inside the torture room and takes the name of Deepak and Urvashi. Deepak and Urvashi try to discuss how to prove Nehha weak. Urvashi says that she'll give it back to her on her questions. 

Nehha says Deepak and Urvashi aren't able to accept that they're actually a part of such a big show, hence they may not be having any strategy to survice. She feels they lack participation in household chores and she hasn't been able to bond with them, neither have they taken any initiative to bond. 

Deepak tries to defend by saying how he has been helping in chores by doing his work himself. He says he doesn't want to be in kitchen just for the sake of all the cameras. He says that even Nehha could have been the bigger person being the celeb that she is, and tried to initiate a conversation. Nehha feels there's lack of communication and clarity of thoughts in Deepak.

Deepak says that Nehha didn't have any points against them, so she's just saying anything to prove them weak. Deepak says that he feels the true face of Nehha may soon be revealed on the show. 

In vote out, the housemates as well as the sanchalaks feel that Nehha is the weaker contestant. The task ends for the day. Saba and Somi discuss with Shivashish that it's getting boring inside the house so they must pick up a (fake) fight.

Late night at 1 am, Somi asks Shivashish why has he kept his chappals all over the place. They pick up a fight on the way of speaking while other housemates try to calm Shivashish down. Somi aks Shivashish to come out with her so that they can discuss in private and not take the fight further. Their fake fight ends up upsetting Sreesanth and Urvashi.

In the next episode, Dipika and Saba will be the target of the housemates. A big fight seems to be awaiting regarding the household duties, led by Dipika Kakar, Srishty and Nehha. The way of talking of the Pathan sisters Saba and Somi Khan irks the housemates as they become the next target of the singles during the first task.
