Bigg Boss OTT 2: Salman Khan announces extension of show, reveals how long series will extend

Owing to the super-success of the show, Salman Khan revealed that the show will be extended from its original 6-week run.

Bigg Boss OTT 2 updates: On Saturday, Salman Khan hosted the third Weekend Ka Vaar for Bigg Boss OTT, and revealed that due to the super-success of the second season, the show has been given an extension. Originally the show was planned for six weeks, but Khan asserted that the reception for this season has set new records, thus the makers have pushed the show for two more weeks. 

At the start of the episode, Salman pointed out Falaq Naazz for suppressing her views, and Avinash Sachdev for playing 'thali ka baigan' in the house. Salman even called Falaq's sister Shafaq on the show, and she motivated her to speak out and present the personality she and her family knows.

Later, Salman smartly broke the news of the extension by explaining the popularity of the show among the audience. He also revealed the statistics for the first two weeks and said that the show clocked 400 crore minutes of viewing. Salman asked Falaq and other housemates to appreciate the love they are receiving, and it's high time, that they should up the ante, and play smartly, as the show has been given an extension of two more weeks. Khan said, "You guys are been seen, more than I am been seen. Iska matlab kya hua? Ki logo ko pasand aa raha hai. 400 crore minutes sirf pehle do hafton mein. Toh yeh toh obious hai ki yeh season do hafte aur aage jayega. Ab zima aapka hai ki log aap logo ko aur pasand kaise kare. Aap logo ko kisi aur par nahi balki khud pe kaam karna hai."  

Originally, the show would have its grand finale by July-end. But with the two-week extension, the show is now expected to end in mid-August. As far as the nominations are concerned, seven contestants, Bebika Dhurve, Avinash Sachdev, Falaq Naaz, Jad Hadid, Cyrus Broacha, Pooja Bhatt, and Manisha Rani are nominated for this week's eviction.
