Cezanne Khan and Shweta Tiwari were one of the most loved on-screen couples as Anurag Basu and Prerna Sharma in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
However, behind the scenes, in real wife, Cezanne and Shweta's relationship was anything but loving. Things between the two, reportedly, got so bad that they stopped talking to each other completely at one point.
The show, which aired from 2001 to 2008, featured Cezanne and Shweta as star-crossed lovers. He quit the show in 2007 after a generation leap as he did not want to play a grandfather on-screen. He was replaced by Hiten Tejwani who later played Anurag Basu.
In an interview with The Times of India, Cezanne admitted to having problems with his Kasautii Zindagii Kay co-star.
He said, "True, there was a time when Shweta and I were not speaking at all. It’s okay, many actors don’t get along. Things happen in life but we being professionals continued doing our job with sincerity."
Cezanne recently had also opened up about proposing to his girlfriend and said that they were planning to marry in 2020 but delayed it due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While he did not reveal the name of his ladylove, he mentioned that her culinary skills had a huge role to play in winning his heart.
He said, "She is someone special and I am dating her for the past three years. She is from Amroha (Uttar Pradesh). I am in a happy space with her and looking at tying the knot soon. We had planned to get married by the end of 2020 but postponed it owing to the pandemic. We will tie the knot this year."
