Ex Bigg Boss contestant and actress Mandana Karimi has accused Umesh Ghadge of harassing her on the sets of her film Kya Kool Hai Hum 3. The Iranian model also claimed that she decided to quit acting because of the behaviour of the director.
The actress told ANI, "An experience led me to leave my profession which I loved. Harassment just doesn't mean to touch me; it also means to make my life hell. I was too miserable. I didn't talk to anybody about it."
She further shared that the director Umesh Ghadge started harassing her on the sets of the film by changing her steps in songs, including other people in the songs on the pretext of last minute changes or last minute decision. She also said that he would call her really early on the sets of the film and would ask her to wear the clothes which she wasn't supposed to. These were but a few of the many other means that the director allegedly applied to create the image that Mandana was difficult to work with.
The former Bigg Boss 9 contestant was all praises for Tanushree Dutta for speaking up against veteran actor Nana Patekar, who allegedly sexually harassed her on the sets of the film Horn OK Pleassss, while she was there to shoot for an item number. Tanushree's step went on to become a wave of the #MeToo movement in India, with several women coming out on social media, to share their ordeal, accusing some of the noted celebs of sexual harassment.
"It's a very exciting time for India and I am happy that finally, a lot of people are talking about it. Hats off to Tanushree because she is the one who actually started the movement. It takes a lot of courage to talk about any sort of harassment," Mandana added.
Till now, celebs like Sajid Khan, Subhash Ghai, Alok Nath, Luv Ranjan, Rajat Kapoor, Kailash Kher among others have been accused of sexual harassment.
