Fire breaks out on 'Kumkum Bhagya' sets, no hefty losses or casualty reported

A few days after 'Kumkum Bhagya' shoot resumed post lockdown, a fire broke down on the sets of the TV show. A video from the same has been going viral. In the video, one can see fire and smoke coming from a part of the sets which were erected.

It is being reported that a short circuit could have caused the fire. While there is not much update from the sets, it is being heard that no hefty losses were incurred. No casualties have been reported so far in the case either.

As per the media reports there is no damage to life and cast and crew have been taken to a safe place and no casualties have been reported. The fire broke out while the shoot was in progress at the Kllick Nixon Studio. The cause of the fire is deemed to be a short circuit. An online portal reported a source that said, “The reason for fire seems to be a short circuit. But there is no clarity at the moment.”

Ekta Kapoor and other team members are yet to share an update from the sets. The show features Shabir Ahuwalia, Sriti Jha, Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul in the leads roles. 'Kumkum Bhagya', presented by Zee TV, happens to be among the most-watched shows on the idiot box.

The TV show was recently in news after Shikha Singh, who played the role of Aaliya Mehra, known for plotting against the couple (Abhi and Pragya), was replaced. 'Jamai Raja' actress Rehyna Malhotra has replaced her in the show.
