Bhavya Gandhi quit the show after working for more than 8 years and was replaced by 19-year-old Mumbai based teenager Raj Anadkat.

Bhavya Gandhi shot to fame after he played the role of Tapu in the popular TV show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'. Bhavya almost grew up on the sets of the show as he played the character of 'Tapu' for 8 long years along with his on-screen mother Disha Vakani.

Co-incidentally, both Bhavya and Disha quit the longest-running sitcom a few years ago. During an interview with ETimes, Bhavya was asked if he is still in contact with Disha Vakani, he said that they have video calls.

Bhavya said, "We definitely have these video calls sometimes, and everytime, she sees me, she goes, 'Aahhh, whatt, beard?' (laughs) I say, yes, I've got a beard now. She has never seen me in a beard, so she gets shocked. I say, 'Haan, aave gaiyo' (Yes, they've grown) and I am growing them more."

Bhavya who was famous for his 'Tapu Sena' said that he is in touch with them as well. He said, "I am in touch with everyone. I am doing films right now and the schedule is different than that of TV. So, I don't like disturbing them but they always know that Bhavya is around. If they need me for something, I am always here. I am doing a film, it will be like out of 12 months, 4 months I must be busy and rest of the months, I am just with the family, my friends, working on myself, learning new things."

For the unversed, Bhavya quit the show after working for more than 8 years on it. He was replaced by 19-year-old Mumbai based teenager Raj Anadkat.

On the other hand, Bhavya is currently doing Gujarati films and wants to explore more as an artist
