If we were to call Dance India Dance the boiling pot of talent, it wouldn’t be wrong. In its 6th season, the dance reality show never fails to amaze the viewers. With super talented contestants from across the country, the competition in the show has reached a new high. In the latest episodes aired this weekend, the determination and passion for dance was clearly in the air.

A series of rib-tickling moments coupled with some jaw-dropping performances were the highlights of Saturday’s episode. Kick-starting the evening with a beautiful representation of the good and the evil, Deepak and Sujan performed on ‘Tera Hi Karam’. Taking the emotional quotient higher in the episode, good friends Piyush and Sanket delivered an impactful performance on one of the most loved songs ‘Channa Mereya’, leaving the audience and the judges impressed. For their effortless execution of the choreography, Grand Master Mithun Da could not keep himself away from giving them a grand salute. If this was not enough, Sachin’s solo performance on ‘Kyu Main Jagoon’ earned him a standing ovation, masters’ trademark compliments and ‘Performer of the Week’. With emotions flowing on the stage, anchor Sahil maintained his mischievous self this week too. Dressed as Allaudin Khujli, he ensured numerous light-hearted and comic moments.

This week’s Sunday episode started with one less contestant giving DID season 6 its top 7 dancers.

Piyush, with his electrifying performance on ‘Disco Dancer’, gave a tribute to the King of Disco – Grand Master Mithun Da. Experiencing a rush of nostalgia and reminiscing about his old days, he shook a leg with Piyush. In a spectacular fusion of two dance forms, Nainika’s act on ‘Silsila Ye Chahat Ka’ was all about grace and elegance. Shivam’s adorable performance on ‘Itni Si Hassi’, Sujan’s first classical attempt on ‘Shiv Tandav’ and Deepak’s appreciative prop work on ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ received applauds from the Masters and Grand Master.

Time and again the contestants have thanked their parents for encouraging them to perform their best and this week Nainika and Sujan were in for a surprise when their mothers came on stage. To make the situation light-hearted, a momo eating competition was announced and it was fun to see Grand Master, Sujan, Master Marzi and Master Mudassar fighting it out. While Sanket shared the title of ‘Performer of the Day’ with Nainika, he experienced a thrilling moment when the Masters expressed that they see a DID winner in him. The fight is getting tougher and these young contestants are not willing to stop.
