Hina Khan believes 'Bigg Boss' not just helped us break from the mold of a daily soap queen but also brought to light her real personality, which is that of an opinionated and stylish woman
Bigg Boss 11 runner-up Hina Khan, who rose to fame by playing an ideal bahu Akshara in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', owes her new found identity to 'Bigg Boss'.
The actress believes Salman Khan's show not just help us break from the mold of a daily soap queen but also brought to light her real personality, which is that of an opinionated and stylish woman.
"People look at me as a fierce, opinionated, different type of girl who doesn't shy away from speaking her mind. I've always been like this. I feel that's the way one should be," Hina told PTI.
"Be imperfect and make mistakes. People might judge you that time but in the long run, it'll be your work which will take you ahead. You'll be judged on the basis of your progress, they'll never remember these three and a half months," she added.
While she credits 'Bigg Boss' for transforming her image she also says that she didn't rely entirely on the show. "I concentrated on my projects and did good work. I don't think your image can change forever through 'Bigg Boss.' Your image is in your own hands."
"My transformation happened through Bigg Boss but at the same time I feel the memory of it is very short. A new season comes and then you have new set of favourite contestants. So the ultimate goal of anyone, whether an actor or commoner is, when you get out of the house, you've to work otherwise you'll be forgotten. The show will give you platform but then you've to keep proving yourself," she added.
Hina, who appeared on the first episode of the 12th season of 'Bigg Boss' along with Hiten Tejwani, also wrote a heartfelt note on Instagram on her journey in Bigg Boss. "It’s always necessary to acknowledge an opportunity. Almost a year back when I had this opportunity i had to face a lot of challenges but looking at each challenge as a new opportunity in itself each time to prove yourself is a true winners attitude, of course it helps you while you’re inside the house but it actually matters when you come out. I did my best when I was inside and continue to do so in my life outside."
"I wish , hope and pray that everyone from this season of BB become achievers in their respective paths as real winners of real life. Glad and privileged to be present at their starting point in this journey that awaits them both inside and outside the house,"she continued.
