Siddharth Nigam who plays 'Aladdin' in Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga, recently revealed the role Salman Khan played in getting him a salary hike.

Salman Khan is well known for extending a helping hand and going out of his way to help not only the public but also his people from the film and television industry. Actor Siddharth Nigam, who currently essays the role of Aladdin in the television show, Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga, recently revealed the role Salman played in getting him a salary hike.

Siddharth said that he and Salman used to work out at the same gym while he was shooting for Ashoka in Karjat and Salman was shooting for a film there. During one of their meetings, Salman had asked him about his per-day salary. After hearing what Siddharth had to say, Salman was left shocked and pulled some strings which resulted in a salary hike for Siddharth.

In an interview with ETimes, Siddharth spoke about the same and said, "We would work out together. Salman sir had asked me about my per day salary once when I was working on Ashoka and he was really shocked after hearing it. Since my per day was very low at that time, he called up someone and told that person how low I was being paid. And after he spoke about it and there was a boom in my per day after a year of being on Ashoka."

This, however, isn't the first that an actor has spoken about Salman lending a helping hand. Recently, filmmaker-choreographer Remo D'Souza was also admitted to the hospital following a heart attack. Remo was admitted to the Kokilaban Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai in December.

At the time, Remo had also opened up about how Salman came to the aid of the family at their difficult time. He said, "We call him an angel as he has a heart of gold. I have worked with him and I know the kind of a gem that he is. Salman and I don’t talk much, like, I only say ‘yes, sir, okay sir’. Actually, my wife and Salman are very close. As soon as I was rushed to the hospital, Lizelle called him. And through the six days that I was in the hospital, he saw to it that I was taken good care of. He was also personally talking to the doctors."
