Ace comedian turned actor Kapil Sharma has found himself embroiled in a controversy once again. What began as his attempt to voice his opinion in support of Salman Khan after he was convicted and sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, soon turned into an angry and abusive Twitter rant against the editor of one of the entertainment portals. Kapil didn't stop there. He later allegedly called up the editor and abused him over the phone. This was followed by both the sides slapping each other with legal complaints.
While Kapil Sharma's ex manager and former girlfriend Preeti Simoes has requested his family members to get him proper medical treatment as she feels he's suffering from some mental health issues, Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde had come out in his defence saying that we should allow him his space and requested the people to forgive his mistakes.
Now, Krushna Abhishek, who was once considered to be one of the arch rivals of Kapil Sharma, has also come out in the support of the comedian. Speaking about the recent fiasco of Kapil, Krushna told a portal, "His film didn’t work, he’s lost a lot of money plus his show Family Time With Kapil Sharma didn’t work. I never took his side before, but I’m feeling bad for him now with the way everyone is pouncing on him. People should just forgive him and let him be. Yes, he consumes alcohol, but he isn’t into drugs. He should just stop tweeting. And it’s wrong to harass and write negatively about a guy who is dealing with depression. Kapil isn’t a bad guy and all of us love him.”
It's heartening to see other comedians coming out in support of Kapil Sharma, who shot to fame with Comedy Nights With Kapil Sharma. His second show The Kapil Sharma Show, was able to recreate the success of the first one but unfortunately, post his infamous mid-air brawl with colleague and good friend Sunil Grover, things went downhill for him. His recent show Family Time with Kapil could not live up to the expectations of his fans.
