'MIrzapur' is undoubtedly one of the most popular shows and the numerous memes around that prove the same. Hence, when fans asked when will the sequel of the show release, Pankaj Tripathi was quick to confirm that a sequel might be in place.
'When will Mirzapur 2 release?' became the most asked question on the OTT platform Amazon Prime, after which they tweeted, "Jo gaya hai, vo aayega bhi. Bas marzi @TripathiiPankaj ki hogi." Pankaj confirmed 'Mirzapur 2' through his reply on the tweet.

The makers also released a video of 'Mirzapur' fans. The clip saw their comments, some fans showing heart sign, and watching the screening of the show with a group of people. It also showed moments from 'Mirzapur' promotions in colleges, with 'Munna Bhaiyya' Divyendu Sharma, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Harshita Gaur.
The one minute clip ended with 'Guddu Bhaiyya' Ali Fazal entering Kaleen Bhaiyya's haveli. 'Mirzapur' ended on a sad note for Guddu bhaiyya, who lost a few members of his family at the hands of Munna Bhaiyya (Kaleen Bhaiyya's son) and is out to seek revenge.
