Amitabh Bachchan's much-loved show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) is all set to get its first "crorepati" this week. A new promo was released by the channel on their social media accounts which shows Delhi-based communications manager Nazia Nasim, playing the game of her wife, sitting opposite host Amitabh Bachchan.

The video also shows Bachchan applauding her knowledge and saying, "What an incredible game you have played, " as we're shown glimpses of tense moments, including the host, yelling, "Ek crore!" in celebration.

The 30-second video ends with Amitabh proceeding to ask her the 16th question, for Rs 7 crore.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 launched on September 28. This year is especially dear for Bachchan as it also marks two decades of his association with KBC, with which he made his television debut in 2000. He has hosted every season so far, except the third season, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.

Recently, the show came landed itself into controversy with a question about Manusmriti and Dr BR Ambedkar.

The havoc was created after Amitabh Bachchan asked a question related to Manusmirti in the Karamveer episode. The episode had social activist Bezwada Wilson and actor Anoop Soni come as guests.

The question for Rs 6,40,000 was, On 25 December 1927, Dr. BR Ambedkar and his followers burned copies of which scripture? The options given were, a) Vishnu Purana, b) Bhagavad Gita, c) Rigdev, and d) Manusmriti.

After answering the question, Amitabh Bachchan also said that "In 1927, Dr. BR Ambedkar condemned the ancient Hindu text Manusmriti to ideologically justify caste discrimination and untouchability and he also burned copies of it."

However, the question did not go well with the netizens as several users started accusing the show of running the "leftists propaganda", while others blamed it for "hurting Hindu sentiments". An FIR was also lodged against Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) and its host Amitabh Bachchan in Lucknow.
