KBC is without doubt a very popular show and every year many people appear on the show with a dream to win the money and change the course of their life. KBC got its first woman crorepati during KCB 4 in 2010 after 10 years when Rahat Tasneem succeeded in winning the prize money of Rs 1 crore. Rahat Tasneem was a very confident woman and she had managed to impress Amitabh Bachchan too. Rahat belongs to Giridih in Jharkhand and the 37-year-old made full use of options of 'phone a friend', 'double dip', 'expert advice' and 'audience poll' to walk home with the coveted prize.

"But, from the stage of Rs 3.20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh, I knew my answers and did not require lifelines. When Big B asked me where did I get my confidence from, I replied it stemmed from self-belief and the fact that I knew it all," Rahat once said in an interview.

Rahat had only Rs 3 as balance in her mobile phone when she decided to send an answer on Hindu mythology to participate in KBC. "I decided to take a chance and send the SMS," Rahat said. Rahat got selected and was called for an audition in Mumbai. "We were told that a bank account and PAN card was necessary for all contestants. When I went back home, the first thing I did was to open a bank account and apply for PAN card," she recalled. Rahat is now running a garment showroom at a mall in Giridih.
