To which Nia replied, "And thank you a ‘million’ times for this opportunity @ektaravikapoor It’s an absolute honour and privilege." However, during an interaction with Mumbai Mirror, Nia revealed that she is not to be seen as Naagin on the show but still feels the pressure of taking the franchise forward and living up to the expectations of people. Sharma had made her digital debut a couple of years back with Twisted and then went on to star in Jamai 2.0 which streamed on Zee5.

She has been known for her bold roles and talking about the same, Nia told the tabloid, "I was labelled a bold, vulgar wannabe. Today every actress on the web is doing the same thing. I’m glad I did it when it was still unique." She further said, "I want to always be at the centre of things. When I come on screen, I want to create a buzz."

Talking about how Naagin helped Mouni in her career, Nia went on to say, "I am expecting my career to rocket to the moon and for me to become the most popular actor there is."
