The talented Akshay Mhatre who is currently seen as the lead Naren in Zee TV’s romantic drama Piyaa Albela, has been keeping rather unwell these days and is unable to shoot for the show. Down with viral fever, the actor has been hospitalised and is under heavy medication and has been advised complete bed rest.
With the actor practically required in every scene, Rajshree Productions has stopped shooting the show and will resume once Akshay recovers. Akshay is trying his level best to bounce back so that he can be back on the sets!
Committed to his role in Piyaa Albela, Akshay said, "It started off as just a heavy cold and fever but I ignored it. But the fever wouldn’t settle in spite of taking medicines. On consulting my doctor and after subsequent medical tests, the reports revealed a viral fever and the doctor insisted on complete bed-rest and medication that is best administered in a hospital. There is an important sequence that we were to shoot just before I had to get hospitalised. So, I am taking good care of myself and having my medicines on time so that I can be with my Piyaa Albela family soon and resume shooting at the earliest!”
In the upcoming episodes, viewers will see that Pooja and Naren are in the same house performing rituals for their wedding, but with their respective partners Surbhi and Anand. Pooja will leave for Dehradoon for her wedding while Naren is preparing for his wedding in Hrishikesh.
Amidst all the drama, there will be a lot of twists and turns which will turn their lives upside down. Will Naren and Pooja get married to Surabhi and Anand and be happy ever after? Or has destiny planned something else for the two of them ?
