'Princess Bride' star Cary Elwes joins cast of 'Stranger Things' for season three

'Starship Troopers' star Jake Busey is another new cast member.

Stranger Things is adding two new members to the Upside Down universe with actors Cary Elwes and Jake Busey joining its upcoming third installment.

The Princess Bride-fame Elwes will play a character named Mayor Kline, while Busey (Starship Troopers) will play Bruce, Variety reported.

Priah Ferguson will now star in a recurring role, while Maya Thurman-Hawke will be one of the new leads in the third season of the Netflix show.

The series also stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and others.

The series takes place in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, where a secret government lab accidentally opens a door to another dimension referred to as the Upside Down.

Stranger Things season three will air next year.
