Salman Khan 'more than happy to cut down pay' for 'Bigg Boss 14'

Salman Khan conducted a virtual press conference for his upcoming reality show 'Bigg Boss 14'.

Only a few days are left for Salman Khan hosted controversial show Bigg Boss 14 to go on air. For the very first time, the makers conducted a virtual press conference and Salman gave a tour of his lockdown activities too. Like every year, the superstar's remuneration for Bigg Boss became a talk of the town and he actually spoke about taking a pay cut owing to the pressure on the channel during coronavirus crisis. 

Salman stated, "This is the reason why I am doing this season of Bigg Boss. It'll provide employment to people, there's a very large unit, they will start getting their salary, they'll be able to get ration for their homes."

Whereas Abhishek Rege, CEO of Endemol Shine India said, "Obviously you might not see huge increments, but we are paying full salary." To which the Bharat actor replied, "What about mine? It doesn't matter. I am more than happy to cut it down so that everyone else gets paid. I hope you have even bigger success, hope you divert people's mind, from 9 pm to 10:30-11 and give them a great show. So that they get to see something good during these two hours."

Talking about Bigg Boss being good news to the contestants, Salman went on to share, "Nowhere work is resuming. Even if it is, cases of COVID-19 are being reported. These contestants would be getting inside after being quarantined. So they'd be safe. But those who are working outside will have to be careful. I am happy that Colors, Viacom 18 and Bigg Boss are giving employment to many people. I am very happy with the fact that the show is happening."
