Sidharth Shukla dies: After postmortem, doctors' opinion report still pending

Sidharth Shukla died at the age of 40 after suffering a massive heart attack on Thursday (September 2). He is survived by his mother and two sisters. On Thursday evening, we learned that Sidharth's post-mortem had been completed and his last rites will be held today (September 3). The primary post-mortem report doesn't mention the exact cause of the death.

According to sources in the police, doctors at the Cooper Hospital are yet to give an opinion report.

The late actor's samples have also been preserved for preparing the viscera report. A histopathological study will also be conducted to know if he was suffering from any prolonged illness.

Sidharth was born on December 12, 1980. His father Ashok Shukla was a civil engineer employed at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and his mother, Rita Shukla, was a homemaker. Sidharth made his debut on television in 2008 with 'Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na', and rose to immense fame with his breakthrough role in 'Balika Vadhu'.

He later also went on to act in Karan Johar-produced 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' alongside Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. However, before his successful stint in TV and films, Sidharth was a popular model and walked the ramp for some of the most renowned designers.
