Sidharth Shukla's mother Rita Shukla, sisters organise prayer meet today for his final goodbye - know how to join

Sidharth Shukla is survived by his mother, Rita Shukla and two sisters who have arranged for a prayer meet for the late actor on Monday (September 6).

‘Bigg Boss 13’ winner and one of TV industry’s brightest stars, Sidharth Shukla passed away on Thursday (September 2) after suffering a heart attack at the age of 40. Sidharth’s death has jolted the film and TV fraternity who took to their social media handles to offer their condolences.

Sidharth Shukla is survived by his mother, Rita Shukla and two sisters who have arranged for a prayer meeting for the late actor on Monday (September 6). The final goodbye prayer will be conducted by Sister Shivani and Brahma Kumaris.

TV actor and a friend of Sidharth, Karanvir Bohra took to his Instagram handle to inform his fans about the prayer meeting which be held today at 5 pm virtually on Zoom. He shared a photo of Sid with the words, “blessings for final goodbye” written on them.

While sharing the photo, Karanvir wrote, “Let's all come together today at 5pm for special prayers and blessings for our friend #sidharthshukla organized by his mother #ritaaunty and his sisters #neetu and #preeti and sister #shivanididi @brhamakumaris_bk #seeyouagain on the other side bro.”

Heartbroken fans prayed for Sidharth in the comments section. Earlier in the day, Sidharth’s family had also released their first statement after the actor’s demise.

 “Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of Sidharth’s journey and showered him with unconditional love. It definitely doesn’t end here as he now resides in our hearts forever! Sidharth valued his privacy, hence we request you to allow our family the privacy to grieve,” the statement read.

It further read, “A special Thank You to the Mumbai Police force for their sensitivity and compassion. They have been like a shield, protecting us and standing by us every minute of the day! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Om Shanti- The Shukla Family.”

Sidharth was laid to rest on September 3 at the Oshiwara crematorium in the presence of his mother, sisters, Shehnaaz Gill and close friends.
