In the upcoming Netflix original series 'Space Force', Steve Carell plays the role of a leader of the newly formed sixth branch of the U.S. Armed Forces: Space Force.

The much-awaited trailer for Netflix original show Space Force is out. Starring Steve Carell in the leading role, the talented actor-producer is seen playing the role of the head of the Space Force named Mark R Naird. In the trailer, he is seen sitting with the team of US Air Force hoping to head the team. However, he is assigned to be the head of the newly-formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: the titular Space Force.

The trailer has several hilarious moments which will remind you of Steve as Michael Scott from The Office. And why not?! The creators are the same and they brought back the much-needed humour in people's lives amid lockdown. There's also a sweet moment where after witnessing an explosion, Mark sings the song 'Kokomo' by The Beach Boys. Space Force also stars John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O. Yang, Diana Silvers and Lisa Kudrow in pivotal roles.

Created by Steve and Greg Daniels, the show's description read as "A decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star Gen. Mark. R. Naird is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the U.S. Armed Forces: Space Force. Sceptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and 'Spacemen' are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance."

It is set to be streamed on May 29, 2020.
