TV actress and model Ruhi Singh was booked for allegedly misbehaving with police officers and driving under the influence of alcohol in two separate incidents that occurred early on Monday early morning. While Khar Police have arrested Ruhi's friends, Rahul Singh and Swapnil Singh for assaulting police officers, Ruhi is yet to be arrested.

According to police, the incident occured at around 2 am, when Ruhi was on her way back home in a four-wheeler, after a party with her friends, Rahul and Swapnil. When they were on the Khar stretch of Liking Road, one of them wanted to use a food outlet's washroom. However, since the food establishment was closed for the day, they asked the trio to leave. Being persistent, the trio kept banging the door and began abusing the food outlet staffers, after which one of the staffers alerted the police control room.

When a police patrolling van reached the spot to intervene in the matter, the trio allegedly misbehaved with the police team and assaulted police, after which all the three were booked. Rahul and Swapnil were arrested immediately, but Ruhi was allowed to leave as a female accused can not be arrested after sunset.

Over an hour later, when Ruhi was driving home in an inebriated state, she rammed into five vehicles while speeding. "Santacruz police reached the spot and took her medical samples to check if she was driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked in a separate case and then allowed to leave. "We have received reports of her blood and medical tests, which have confirmed that she was inebriated at the time of the incident," said additional commissioner of police (West region) Manoj Kumar Sharma.

The Khar police have booked the trio for voluntarily causing hurt (section 323), voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty (section 332), intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace (section 504), misconduct in public by a drunken person (section 510) and common intention (section 34) of the Indian Penal Code.

In the second case registered against Ruhi at Santacruz police station, Ruhi was booked for endangering life and safety due to rash and negligent driving (section 279) and driving under the influence of alcohol under the Indian Penal Code as well as the Motor Vehicles Act.
