Navjot Singh Sidhu has resigned as a minister of Congress from Punjab and Twitterati has gone beserk imagining he would step back into The Kapil Sharma Show

Not long ago Navjot Singh Sidhu, who had been a constant backbone for The Kapil Sharma Show and Kapil Sharma, was no longer part of the show. The reason for that, in case you were not aware yet, was the statement made by Sidhu amidst Pulwama attacks.

Sidhu had then mentioned, "It (the terror attack) is a cowardly and dastardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished. For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual?" His comment created a storm on Twitter and #BoycottSiddhu was the unanimous voice. The former cricketer was thereon not seen on the show.

Navjot, who was once member of BJP too, has stepped down as minister of Congress party in Punjab. In a thread created on sunday morning, Sidhu shared his resignation letter and tweeted, "My letter to the Congress President Shri. Rahul Gandhi Ji, submitted on 10 June 2019," adding, "Will be sending my resignation to the Chief Minister, Punjab."

Soon after comments started pouring in that the man who was known for his shayaris on The Kapil Sharma Show will be back on the chair which is currently occupied by Archana Puran Singh.

Take a look at few of these comments here:

Sidhu was permanent guest in Comedy Night With Kapil, the first show which the comedian ran solely on his shoulder.
